To travel overseas is already a pleasure, but to teach children from other nation, I know, this is already a dream fulfilled. Future School is where I am deployed to teach in my 20 days stay in Vietnam. I learned and grew with this meaningful experience that I had.
School Profile
Future School (also known as Trường Tương Lai) is a private basic educational institution with an area of 24,000m² located in Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province, Vietnam. As its name implies, “Future” School is where teachers dedicate themselves in nurturing forward-thinking students. This institution cultivates a generation with empowered abilities and passions.
Academic Support System
All preparations in terms of people, facilities, organizational and operational processes, program content and educational methods, all revolve around a single goal: to form a new generation. Students are cared for and developed comprehensively so they can "be themselves" by maximizing all of their abilities and capacities as desired, specifically through the first 5 criteria: knowledge, skills, emotions, health, and aptitude.
The school encompasses preschool, elementary, and secondary levels, with a high school segment currently under construction, slated for completion in 2024.

Regarding the overall layout of facilities, the school has modernly designed buildings in modern to meet the learning, living and training needs of about 2,000 people students and a team of experts, teachers, and administrators. Which includes system main classroom system; Functional classroom system such as: Music, English, Fine Arts, Information Technology, Sports, Theater, Cinema, Letters institute. Besides, there are also public facilities such as swimming pools, sports fields, internal road system, book cafe, library, etc.
Several distinctions set Future School apart from the educational system in Indonesia. Uniforms are not mandatory, class durations are relatively short at around 40 minutes, and students are allotted nap times. Upon entering classrooms, students remove their shoes or footwear, maintaining a clean environment. Class sizes are also notably small, averaging only around 15 students. This enables the teachers to accommodate all the students in the class.
To achieve the set educational goals, Tuong Lai School focuses on building a team of highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teachers, staff and managers, contributing to the implementation effectively of the school's commitment to quality teaching and learning.
In the recruitment and training policy, Future School teachers must undergo a serious training program of at least 12 months, whether they are native teachers or foreign teachers. Future School primarily utilizes the Vietnamese language, though German is also incorporated. Bilingual signs in Vietnamese and German are evident, but English is also a key focus for students.
The school's program content and teaching methods are developed and implemented to fully meet educational goals. Specifically, educational content includes programs according to current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, supplementary programs and gifted programs. In particular, English and German are included in teaching and learning in schools as a second language, which can be used in communication like Vietnamese.
